Comment on my statement about managing information in a complex enterprise datacenter environment.
"Traditional approaches to information management, risk management, and GRC are too costly, complex, human dependent, and in the end work against methods used to solve large-scale complexity problems. In 2003, when we first launched ILM-based practice methods, I defined a complexity rule that states "If you want to solve a complexity problem, stop doing it." and its first corollary, "Automating a bad practice is still a bad practice." These declarations are more true than ever today. Stop trying to manage information and instead, manage the datacenter and its infrastructure based on the businesses requirements for its information and data assets.
To succeed in information management and governance, you need to implement an ILM2.0 framework!"
